Chess Wizards offers fun, intellectual and challenging chess education and tournament experiences to children of all abilities and ages. Our chess instruction is held at participating schools, as well as park districts, churches, and chess clubs. Chess Wizards - Chess Wizards - Full Day
Chess Wizards offers fun, intellectual and challenging chess education and tournament experiences to children of all abilities and ages. Our chess instruction is held at participating schools, as well as park districts, churches, and chess clubs. We also offer private lessons, run scholastic tournaments, and hold chess camps in the summer. We believe learning should be fun! Kids play chess because it is fun, not because it ‘is good for their cognitive, social, and emotional development.’ Our students learn chess is fun on Day 1! In addition to lessons and traditional gameplay, we incorporate variations of chess games that build teamwork and foster a genuine enjoyment of a game over a thousand years old!

Crayola Imagine Arts Academy & Mad Science Summer Camp - Crayola Imagine Arts Academy / Mad Science - FULL DAY Camp
Crayola Imagine Arts Academy: AM Session (9:00am-12:00pm); Entering Grades 1-6ART-ventures with Pigasso and Mootisse:Art explorers learn about real artists, their vision of the world and the materials and techniques they use or used. Think about famous artists like Picasso, Matisse, van Gogh, Modigliani, Homer and more. Included are fun and funky 3-D projects using unconventional and sometimes kooky artist's techniques and materials. During this art-packed week create vibrant tie-dyed t-shirts, decoupage large papier mache stars, design leather wristbands and celestial stained glass, experiment with emotion collages, mosaic art and so much more.Mad Science: PM Session (1:00-4:00pm); Entering Grades 1-6Red Hot Robots:Children will learn the basics of robotics by constructing their own age-appropriate robot throughout the week.
