July 27th: Under the Tulip Tree by Michelle Shocklee: A young journalist in the Great Depression meets a former slave whose story challenges her preconceptions about slavery and connect them in unexpected ways.
August 31st: The Dollhouse by Fiona Davis: A historical fiction novel that alternates between 1952 and 2016. Set in New York City’s famed Barbizon Hotel for Women, the story follows a modern-day journalist investigating a decades-old mystery involving a reclusive original resident, revealing a dark past of female independence, jazz music, and betrayal.
