SEL
Theme: Growing Strong Inside and Out
Focus: Building the 5 CASEL Competencies through movement, creativity, and mindfulness

In this workshop, students explore ways to build confidence, manage emotions, and strengthen friendships through fun, hands-on activities. Using mindful movement, breath work, arts and crafts, and group games, children practice the five core social and emotional skills from the CASEL framework.

-Self-Awareness: Recognizing and expressing feelings
-Self-Management: Learning calming tools and focus strategies
-Social Awareness: Noticing and respecting others’ feelings
-Relationship Skills: Cooperating, communicating, and problem-solving with peers
-Responsible Decision-Making: Making safe, kind, and thoughtful choices

By the end of the session, students leave with new strategies they can use at school and home to feel calmer, more connected, and ready to make positive choices.
