A youth theater group in bright tees and stage props
Teaching artist Carol Macy will be offering a special theatre workshop series for ages 8-12. Students will be involved in Improvisation for the Stage, Mime, Theatre Games, and each participant will be given at least one role in a scene from one of Broadway’s award-winning musicals. Actors will learn about bringing who they are to the parts they will play in such musicals as Annie, Wicked, The Secret Garden, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and many other shows. It is not required that you sing in this workshop. There are many parts to play! On the last day of class, we will be performing “An Afternoon of Scenes from the American Musical.” Please send your actors in with a light lunch or snacks to enjoy on our breaks outside each day. Workshops will begin at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm. Join us for drama, comedy, and songs this summer!

Carol Macy has been a teaching artist and director for the past 35 years throughout the
